If I had to compare myself to anyone or anything in pop culture today I’d say we were Tenacious D. I say we meaning my wife and I. We’re a strange and perfect pairing.
I’ve liked Tenacious D after seeing their mini movies a few years ago on the Sundance Channel early in the morning, like 5 am. The films look handmade and improvised, funny and odd. Appealing from the very start in no standard way. Both characters are oddly beautiful and friendly. I don’t think I’ve ever heard their music.
If this pairing makes you happy that goes double for me. I get to watch them perform on TV and live my life in the glow of a beautiful, intelligent, funny, talented person.
If your wondering who’s who, my wife would be Jack Black. I’d have to be Kyle Gass a.k.a. “KG”, “Kage”,”Rage Kage”.
